I am currently using VGA which is not as clear as DVI, I am using the nVidia driver 260.19.06 I do get some limited operation, for example with both VGA and DVI connected and TwinView enabled for the DVI ( VGA is main) I am able to activate the DVI at 640x480. The Nvidia X Server settings correctly detects the monitor on the VGa port but for the DVI port just displays 'DFP-0' Is there a workaround to force the driver to detect the monitor when it is connected to DVI only.

Since Ubuntu 16.04 LTS is a stable long term releases I would recommend trying this with the AMD-GPU-PRO Driver versus trying Centos 7.3.
